while running European blondie stopped me. new to town... moved from NYC. she only felt comfortable running around Magic Island. found out she's a long distance runner... she wanted to follow my route. I thought: how odd?... I wanted to start keeping track of my record times... and on my 1st attempt at official record keeping... I meet a long distance runner? she normally runs 7-8 minute miles... but she slowed down to match my glacier pace. I purposely wanted to take it easy... start off w/ a 40 minute record... so that each time I run I would have a new record... make myself feel good. again... how odd that I meet a long distance runner of all solar days? frell... when I run tomorrow I have to shoot for a new record of 29.85 minutes.

Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal swept Matt Olson and Kevin Wong for the title. wanted local boy Wong to win since he and his teammate actually beat Dalhausser and Rogers to reach the finals... felt they deserved to win.

highlight of the match... Olson killed a ball w/ authoritay... six packed and facialized Rosenthal... Rosenthal's shades and cap flew off... Olson flexed. rewind.

announcers spoke of Mike Whitmarsh. I do not understand people who commit suicide. so much to live for. prior to writing this entry... I read some articles about his death. he died from carbon monoxide poisoning in a friend's garage. Chris McGee: I used to talked to him every day... I consider him one of my closest friends. wouldn't one know if a friend is suicidal?

I then remembered an ep of Courtney Cox Arquette's canceled show Dir(rr)t(a)y. guy had one to many dranks... drove home... opened the automatic garage door... parked his car... closed the door... passed out w/ the engine running... and died.

as I wrote... so much to live for. perhaps that's what happened to Whitmarsh... but no report or mention of alcohol in his system.

kick ass communications officer Luke instructs gemini to use satellite phone. gemini sat phone doesn't work. why? battery dead. at this point I doubt the Japanese jammed communications. in my opinion the environmentalists/eco-terrorists have frelled up equipment. Luke instructs them to do something w/ an adapter. sat phone works.

coordinates reveal gemini 7 miles away from Steve Irwin... which still in pursuit of Nisshin Maru factory/research vessel. delta inflatable can't be brought back on board Steve Irwin because gemini needs to be on board 1st before delta. delta crew/eco-terrorists drenched after being hosed from powerful water cannons... they're freezing... they're feelin' unloved.

gemini can travel up to 30 knots... but going 5 knots to avoid hitting ice in the water. Steve Irwin traveling 15 knots. distance between them increasing. at this point I'm thinkin: why not bring the delta on board... give some lovin' to the delta crew/eco-terrorists... put delta back into the water while gemini catches up?

both inflatables brought on board Steve Irwin. crew/eco-terrorists have a cup of cocoa. how dare they kill plants.

Steve Irwin on tail of Nisshin Maru for 35 hours. damn. thick hull factory/research ship heads straight into ice field. Steve Irwin follows close behind in the Nisshin Maru's wake. both ships make it into clear water.

drama. 3 harpoon/research vessels appear. bug eyed. the 3 ships will protect factory/research ship. 1 harpoon/research vessel maneuvers close to the Steve Irwin for some time. Steve Irwin crew/eco-terrorists freak out... get angry... want to protect themselves.

Paul H(ypocrite): we have a right to defend ourselves... we're gonna throw stank bombs. does throwing objects for defense only apply to the environmentalists/eco-terrorists? doesn't Paul H(ypocrite) believe the Japanese whalers/researchers have a right to defend themselves too by throwing objects at the gemini inflatable that went close to their harpoon/research ship?

Steve Irwin sails under Dutch flag. Dutch ordered crew/eco-terrorists to not throw any objects from its deck. they disregard this order... throw a stank bomb which lands on one of the harpoon/research ships. if Dutch found out what happened... Steve Irwin will not sail under Dutch flag... they become pirates... Japanese can treat them as such.

Japanese ships back off.

Peter H(ypocrite) wants inflatable crew/eco-terrorists to throw a grappling hook on to the Nisshin Maru's protective netting... bring it down. that way the stank bombs can land on the ship. he must really be off. sharp object on an inflatable? inflatable crew/eco-terrorists thinkin' the same thing. they need to agree on what to do.

friend and I decided to go walking... see effects of partial solar eclipse. lots of people out n about w/ their solar peeps. eclipse to start at 17:00... end at 18:15. sun sets at 19:15. imagined it to get dark and then light from eclipse... then dark again from sun set. nope. regular solar day.

according to my pedometer... biathlon running path = 3.15 miles. friend's pedometer read 3.30+ miles. we both surprised by her mileage cuz my pedometer number normally higher than hers. decided to not include her number to find my biathlon running route average distance. average distance = 3.13 miles. as I wrote in a previous entry I will start running the route for speed.

if I walk 3.13 miles when exercising then that will count towards a drank.

Whale Wars - With A Hook

Steve Irwin chases Nisshin Maru. Japanese processing/research vessel less than 1.5 miles away. crew/eco-terrorists get ready to launch inflatables. exciting.

Steve Irwin in middle of triangle... Nisshin Maru straight ahead... 2 harpoon/research vessels behind. exciting.

captain Paul's plan... attack Nisshin Maru w/ stank bombs and attack 1 harpoon/research vessel w/ prop fouler. huh? it would make more sense to stank up the harpoon/research vessel cuz then the whales can't be processed/researched. it would also make sense to frell up the Nisshin Maru's propellers. plan goes on.

helicopter pilot Chris gathers info. impressed w/ Nisshin Maru's defenses. vessel covered w/ protective netting. vessel also has more powerful water cannons. and yet captain Paul still wants to throw stank bombs? stank bombs will just bounce off net. Nisshin Maru also has an LRAD. but who cares? delta boat in pursuit.

gemini inflatable in pursuit of a harpoon/research ship. oh... captain Paul's code of attack = Tora! Tora! Tora! I thought this to be funny. this code = deploy prop fouler. but crew/eco-terrorists on gemini take this as go ahead to throw stank bombs. some stank bombs land on vessel.

captain Paul's pissed cuz gemini didn't do what they're supposed to do. so now they try to deploy prop fouler. I have to admit that these volunteers/eco-terrorists = idiots. instead of going in front of the harpoon/research vessel and deploying the prop fouler... they release it while they're parallel to the ship. what happens? nothing.

gemini now has to look for prop fouler. they have a hard time finding it. why? floaters attached to prop fouler = white. it blends in w/ the ice. why not make floaters red or some other color that would stand out?

meanwhile delta inflatable at Nisshin Maru. hard time landing stank bombs on vessel. water cannons powerful. animal planet camera guy got hosed... bleeding from his eyes. delta heads back to Steve Irwin. camera guy sees ship medic. he's okay. whew.

gemini goes for a 2nd attack. this time they're thinking. they do go in front of the harpoon/research vessel... deploy the prop fouler. they and I think it to be a success. vessel stops... not cuz prop fouler worked... but to haul it out of the water and perhaps use it against the Steve Irwin.

then the Japanese whalers/researchers start throwing metal nuggets at the gemini. Steve Irwin crew/eco-terrorists: we're so peaceful... how can they throw things at us? gimme a break. Japanese whalers/researchers could be targeting the gemini inflatable much like how volunteers/eco-terrorists target stank bombs at Japanese vessel. if it so happens a metal nugget hit a person then so be it... can't have it both ways.

Steve Irwin crew/eco-terrorists = vegans. gimme a break. are they animal-centric? how dare they disregard plants. plants superior to animals. plants inhabited planet long before whales or human beings. plants provide humans w/ oxygen... coffee... cigarettes... medical drugs.

captain Paul: Japanese see what we do... then they counteract. love the show... but depending on one's point of view... show helps/hinders the efforts of the volunteers/eco-terrorists or whalers/researchers.

LRADs can emit sounds of 150+ decibels... louder than a jet engine. vessels employ LRADs to protect themselves from piracy.

LRADs change things. crew/eco-terrorists on the inflatables now how t.o contend w/ that as well.

Dubai Damien spots the Nisshin Maru processing/research vessel. Steve Irwin in pursuit. 2 harpoon/research vessels come to defend the Nisshin Maru. Roger Federer won his 6th Wimbledon and 15th overall major titles. amazing. he reminds me of friend uber-hottie Steffi Graf... winning major titles at a prolific rate. they're also both kick ass 1 hand backhanders.

how's Andy Roddick? I recorded this match. w/ Roddick's record against Federer at 2-18... I assumed that he would have lost in 3 sets. as soon as I got up... looked online. 5 sets? 5th set 16-14? damn.

after I watching Roddick win the 1st set 7-5... forwarded to the 2nd set tie breaker. Roddick up 6-2... 4 set points. Roddick frellin' choked. Federer earned... won... 6 points in a row to claim the set. prior to start of the 3rd set, McEnroe: Roddick requested a bathroom break. I'm thinkin: I too would feel like shittin' in my pants. poor guy.

fast forward to the 3rd set tie breaker. Federer up 5-2. did he choke? nah... he won the set.

fast forward to 14-14 in the final set. Federer looked fresh... like the start of the match. what surprised me though... so did Roddick. normally when I watch Roddick he's all drippin' in sweat... even his cap's drenched and drippin'... but he too looked fresh. he must be in better condition.

would have been awesome for an American to have won Wimbledon... but love those 1 hand backhanders.

Margarita's Beach Bar

friend Aria and I chillaxed... got our drank on... at Margarita's. good choice for the 4th. lots of people at Ala Moana beach for the fireworks show... bar relatively empty. love it... didn't have to deal w/ crowds.

we got there at 18:50... just in time for happy hour... which would end at 19:00. even though relatively empty... service = uberslow... didn't get our dranks until happy hour ended.

the bar has a couple dart boards and a couple pool tables. again since establishment relatively empty... I felt like we had the place to ourselves... well at least that area tonight. one big family occupied several tables in the dining section... single men sittin' on the stools at the bar talkin' story w/ the hottie blondie bartenders... tourists outside chillaxin' under the umbrellas.

dranks special = margarita. either Aria and I have become light weight drinkers... or dranks = uberstrong. margarita did its job.

the place has lots of tv screens... serves what looks to be ono food... and also has a jazz room. we would have stayed there longer... but we didn't want to get stuck in traffic leaving the Ala Moana area after the fireworks show. we did see some of the aerials on the freeway.

I recorded the final... watched only half of the 1st set... couldn't get into the match. perhaps a combination of knowing the result and the never ending sister angle. shout out to Mary Carillo: shut up! she's like: I wonder how Venus must be feeling playing against her younger sister?... I wonder how Serena must be feeling playing against her older sister?... and no matter what happens they have to compose themselves and play in the doubles final.

John Hyden and local boy Sean Scott won their 2nd straight tournament by defeating #1 ranked Dalhausser & Rogers... this time in a sweep... 21-13, 21-18. their record against the thin beast & the professor now stands at 3-4.

Sean Scott = blocking machine... 8 blocks in the match. Hyden = diggin' machine. both = killin' machines on 2 too.

thin beast... who leads all players in aces, blocks & hitting %age... looked out of it. same w/ Rogers. at 1 point he lost his cool... yelling at an official.

cardio count worsened by 7 surplus dranks in June. w/ the 7% increase need to burn off 149 calories on gym machines... or swim/run 14/15+ minutes at the beach... to earn a drank.
